Pilates is one of the best ways to ease into fitness if you’re new to the scene. Particularly with our reformers, which have adjustable springs that change the level of resistance to accommodate different levels of strength. If you’ve never heard of a reformer before, it’s essentially a bed that sits on tracks which enable it to slide in and out. It doesn’t sound like much of a challenge, but the exercises and movements we get our clients to do work the entire body—really targeting the core. The difference with this type of strength conditioning is that it requires slow, controlled movements. It’s more about the technique as opposed to speed or repetition, which is why our instructors work closely with every participant.
